In an effort to continually improve services provided to our customers and community, Brazos has added an additional path to the internet. This new path will increase reliability and speed to the internet. In the event of a failure on the new or old path, our customers will continue to receive uninterrupted access to the internet.
The internet is a system of paths from one Internet Service Provider (ISP) to others based on a routing system that uses IP addresses. These addresses determine where your packets of information like e-mails with pictures of the new grandbaby need to be sent.
Multiple routing systems, also known as redundancy paths, will allow Brazos Internet to keep you connected where a single path could fail. This redundancy increases reliability and helps prevent internet failure.
Brazos Telephone recognizes that the need of customers using the internet has changed. It is no longer a place just to research and find information, it is a place where we transact business, send photos, watch videos, post blogs to friends and visit social networking sites.
"Today's technology requires constant upgrades in our network and customers want a secure system that they do not have to worry about. We are pleased we can provide them with the service they've come to expect," said Charlie Hall, Plant Supervisor.
Brazos Internet service is available by calling the Brazos Telephone business office at 1.800.687.3222.
